In this month’s newsletter as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we wish to welcome back our Alumni and friends returning to visit with families. We are thankful for all the generosity and support this past year to maintain Archbishop Ryan as the cornerstone of our community. Ryan has been abuzz of late with activity that improves upon several aspects within the halls of our institution and our Alumni is engaged in the mission of ensuring the growth and stability of Archbishop Ryan and all the students. We are thankful for our administration, faculty, staff, students and our 35,000+ Alumni base. We are one community, we are AR!
Friends of Ryan Winter Social
Come February there is no doubt the winter blues will have set in, so we invite all our Alumni and friends to party into the night as we host the Friends of Ryan Winter Social with Archbishop Ryan’s very own DJ Bobby Sacco. The event is BYOB and lite bites will be provided by Marinucci’s Deli scheduled on Saturday February 4, 2023, from 7PM to midnight at Archbishop Ryan’s South Gym.
Tickets are available at https://www.arhs.me/wintersocial. Tickets are $45 online and $50 at the door and table packages available for $400 which includes a reserved table and 10 tickets to the event. Sponsorship opportunities are also available online and are a great way to show your support to the Ryan community and promote your business to over 35,000 Alumni.

Diamond Sponsor is available for $2,500 and includes 15 general admission tickets, reserved table, premium signage and DJ recognition, social media recognition, entry to the Friends of Ryan Business Network and Friends of Ryan website Newsletter Spotlight.
Platinum Sponsor is available for $1,000 and includes 10 general admission tickets, reserved table, deluxe signage and DJ recognition, social media recognition and entry to the Friends of Ryan Business Network.
Gold Sponsor is available for $500 includes 4 general admission tickets, event signage, social media recognition and entry to the Friends of Ryan Business Network.
Silver Sponsor is available for $250 includes 2 general admission tickets, event signage, social media recognition.
Archbishop Ryan Bleacher Project
This past week, Archbishop Ryan completed phase 2 of the project to replace the bleachers in the south gym. With this update, both long sides of the gym have new bleachers to include branding and safety devices that were not previously available. Additional work is ongoing to complete a storage area that will house various items related to sports activities. Future updates will include another set of bleachers along the end of the gym. The facility looks amazing and will serve as a proud arena to support our teams. Thank you to everyone involved and special thanks to Athletic Director Joe Zeglinski for spearheading the project.
Class of ‘77 ~ 45 Year Reunion
The Class of ‘77 held their 45-year reunion this past month and we congratulate them on a successful event. It was great to see friends and fellow classmates reunite and connect like old times back in the halls of Ryan. The class raised funds to help support Veterans programs, Archbishop Ryan’s Swimming Team Lunch with Santa and the Christmas Helping Hands program to support local Alumni families. Special thanks to Margaret Punsola and Peg Cascerceri for organizing and to all the volunteers who helped in supporting such a wonderful night. 2022 Turkey Bowl
Great job from the Ryan Community in gathering the most votes for radio 94 WIP to broadcast this year’s Annual Turkey Bowl between Archbishop Ryan and our neighborhood rival George Washington. WIP’s Joe DeCamera, Jon Ritchie and Howard Eskin will call the game live starting at 10AM. The game will take place this Thanksgiving morning at George Washington High School, and we look forward to cheering our Raiders to victory.
Archbishop Ryan Music Theater Presents Elf the Musical
The Archbishop Ryan Music Theater presents Elf the Musical at Archbishop Ryan High School for three showings. Tickets are available at https://www.arhs.me/elf but tickets are going fast. Show times are Friday December 2 at 7:30 PM, Saturday December 3 at 7:30 PM and Sunday December 4 at 1 PM.
Archbishop Ryan Swimming Lunch with Santa
The Archbishop Ryan Swimming Team is hosting Lunch with Santa on Saturday December 3, 2022, from 12 to 2:30 PM in the north cafeteria. Tickets are $10 per person and children under one are free. Tickets are available at https://www.arhs.me/santa. Tickets include hot dog lunch special, snacks, drinks, DJ, games, face painting, characters and other fun activities.
Ryan Soccer Bag Bingo
Come out and support the Archbishop Ryan Soccer Program as they host a night of Bag Bingo. The event is scheduled for Friday December 9, 2022, at St. Anselm’s gym located at 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia PA, 19154. Tickets are only available online for $30 via https://www.arhs.me/soccerbingo. The event is BYOB, doors open at 6PM and the event starts at 7PM.
