In this month’s newsletter, we look forward to another summer season and fill you in on several events over the next few months. As we all disburse to enjoy some much-needed time off, we hope to run into you this summer.
The Summer Social
We look forward to hosting the 2023 Summer Social Fundraiser at the Seaport Pier in North Wildwood NJ on Saturday July 29, 2023, from 2 to 7PM. Archbishop Ryan’s very own DJ Bobby Sacco will have the place hopping and sure to lead our Alumni in singing “Ragdoll” along with Frank Daly of Jamison. Tickets are available for $30 online at https://www.arhs.me/summersocial or $40 at the door. Tickets include BBQ Buffet, Soda and various drink specials.

Archbishop Ryan Alumni Host the Annual Car Show
Come out and join the Archbishop Ryan Alumni for their Annual Car Show on Saturday June 24, 2023, from 11 AM to 4 PM at Archbishop Ryan High School. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends, admire classic cars, and support student sports and activities. General admission is free to the public with lite bites and drinks available for purchase. Entertainment provided by MOJO Channel and Just Call Dawn DJ. Archbishop Ryan Quarterback Club Beef & Beer
Are you ready for some fun and football? Join the Archbishop Ryan Quarterback Club and AR Football for a Beef and Beer night to support our awesome players and coaches! They deserve our appreciation for their hard work and dedication throughout the season. We provide the team with meals, snacks, and drinks after every game, and we organize special events like Senior Night to celebrate their achievements. Looking to Volunteer?
Do you find yourself with spare time on your hands and you do not know what to do with yourself? Do you often think about volunteering and giving back but do not know where to start? AR may be your answer!
We are looking for people to help us in a variety of different capacities. Some of the areas we are focusing on are (but not limited to): Development/Fundraising,
Athletics, Video/Film, Photography, Landscaping, Facilities and much more. Join us by going to https://www.arhs.me/volunteer.
Starting in September 2023, we will be focusing in on two areas where we will love to build up our volunteer base. One area is Office Volunteers and the other area is Reunion Volunteers.
• Our Office Volunteers would work in a fast-paced environment assisting with office tasks such as greeting visitors, answering telephones, handling office mail, copying and scanning, filing and light computer work. • Our Reunion Volunteers would primarily work during the evening hours. We have many reunions scheduled for 2023, starting in mid-September and concluding in mid-November. Reunions are typically held on Friday or Saturday evenings and the Reunion Volunteers would assist the night of the event with set up, check in, 50/50 and basket raffles so the reunion committees can enjoy their special night. They say “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart”. Our volunteers are the heart and soul here at AR. Without our alumni, parents and friends of AR who graciously give of their time for the better of our school community, we would not be able to accomplish half of what we do each day. We appreciate all that you do and are grateful for your support!
Reunions
The Archbishop Ryan class reunions are in full swing. The Archbishop Ryan Office of Development and Alumni Relations and the Friends of Ryan have dedicated time to reorganizing the notification and planning around the reunions to offer each class the opportunity to organize and plan the events with the assistance of standardized plans, contact with various vendors and assistance from Alumni who have managed past events. There are several reunions in the planning phase, and we look forward to assisting each class in making it an amazing event.

Class of 1983 ~ 40 Year Reunion
Fellow Alumni of Archbishop Ryan Class of 1983! We are thrilled to announce that our 40th reunion is coming up soon and we would love to see you all there. It will be a night of fun, nostalgia, and reconnecting with old friends. The reunion will take place on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 7PM to 11PM at the Philadelphia Ballroom located at 2014 Hornig Road, Philadelphia PA, 19116. This is a great opportunity to catch up with your classmates, share your stories and memories, and celebrate our achievements. Class of 1973 ~ 50 Year Reunion
Congratulations to the Class of 1973 who this year celebrate their 50-year anniversary graduating from Archbishop Ryan High School. Along with the opportunity to walk in this year’s graduation ceremony, the 50-year reunion is scheduled for Friday October 6, 2023, from 7 to 11PM at the Southampton Room located at 2980 Southampton Road Philadelphia PA 19154.Tickets are $100 and include Buffet, Open Bar, DJ and much more. Spirit of Ryan Nominations
When you think of Archbishop Ryan, is there a specific person who comes to mind instantly because they are involved in all the behind-the- scenes planning for AR events? Or do you think of your favorite teacher who made a difference in your time at AR?
